Painters at Musgrove Retreat

Painted from a combination of plein air studies I did and photos I took on St Simon's Island, Georgia, in April 2024. These are several members of the American Impressionist Society at a paintout at the Musgrove Retreat. I really loved the light and figures. The scene lent itself to a more impressionistic style, so I really tried to channel my "inner Monet." This piece was featured at the Rockport Art Association and Museum in Rockport, Massachusetts as part of the 25th Annual American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition in October 2024.
