Art and nature come together for LPAPA’s 14th Annual juried art show dedicated to the “Best of Plein Air” art with all paintings created outdoors in plein air by regional, national and international artist members of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. So pleased that my painting "First Bales of Spring" is included!

"31 of the top female artists in the region, including Western art darling Donna Howell-Sickles, converge on SouthWind Art Gallery for an all-female exhibition this summer. “Daughters of the Prairie” is packed full of paintings depicting the familiar, like sunflowers and Kansas landscapes, and the more exotic, like true cowgirls and musicians.
Many of these artists have been featured in national art magazines. Many are Kansas natives, but others come Arizona, Texas, Montana, Nebraska, Utah, Oklahoma and even Pennsylvania. You’ll recognize many of these women artists.

Honored to have two of my paintings accepted into this year's Missouri Valley Impressionist Society exhibition in Omaha! "Autumn Day at the Farm" 12x30 and "Church Bells Ringing, Rooster Crowing" 10x20, both plein air oil paintings are included in this show.

Two of my paintings, Ranch Relic and The Susan L, are included in this prestigious exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Salmagundi Club in New York City. More information on the link to the show. 

Two of my paintings will be included in this event which is a fundraiser for the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. 

Please join me as I celebrate the 20th anniversary of my studio/gallery in downtown Ralston! My husband and I purchased our building in 1996, then remodeled and built the studio addition in 1997. Our grand opening was December 7, 1997. 

Originally planned for December 2017, we've had to postpone our celebration until February due to my husband's health issue in November (he is doing well now thankfully!). We will now celebrate with an open house and sale Saturday, February 3rd from 10 am to 4pm. Also joining in the celebration will be Studio 77 which is the studio of my friend and fellow artist, Cynthia Haase, and A Flower Basket, both located on the main level of our building.  

Come enjoy beautiful art, gifts and floral arrangements along with delicious refreshments just in time for Valentine's Day! You can also see our new classroom/gallery/flex space which we are calling "JOY! Creative Space"...in the front of my building in the space of the former Hair Affair salon. Hope to see you there!
